Through legal consultations, partnerships with organisations like AfriForum, and community mobilisation, we’re demanding accountability. Preserving Mogale City’s natural resources is central to our mission. Our work with the Kenmare Kloof Conservation Association has driven progress on enforcing by-laws and pushing for meaningful municipal action. KCU remains committed to protecting the Kloof and other environmental assets for current and future generations.

Public participation in Mogale City’s Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and budget is critical. KCU is preparing residents to engage deeply and knowledgeably in the 2025 cycle, developing expertise in critical areas like energy, sanitation, and housing. By delivering rich, impactful content, we aim to ensure these plans reflect our community’s true needs.

The KCU team and Krugersdorp Safety and Business Forum led by Danie Riekert were instrumental in founding 1Mogale on the 13th of November, a platform uniting ratepayer associations, businesses, and civic groups. Designed for collaboration, it enables collective action and opens pathways for legal measures to compel municipal compliance. Together, we are amplifying the community’s voice for a more accountable Mogale City.

In conjunction with bodies like the Tarlton Ratepayers Association KCU is developing an understanding of this issue to help residents better navigate this process. Our goal is to ensure fair and transparent taxation practices that consider all stakeholders.
